Journey to Build Vallalar Kottam

Vallalar Kottam construction — Project Roadmap

The Vision
A magnificent octagonal monument spanning 247 ft × 247 ft across 4 sacred acres, housing 1008 granite stones engraved with Saint Vallalar's complete Thiru Arutpa — open to all, built for eternity.

The Journey — Five Stages

â‘  Preparing the Land
The sacred ground is cleared, precisely marked, excavated, and stabilised — engineered before a single stone is laid.

â‘¡ Laying the Foundation
Six hundred truck loads of sand, rock dust, granite pieces, and reinforced material are layered with precision — forming a foundation strong enough to endure for centuries.

â‘¢ Raising the Central Pillar
A towering 27-feet Central Pillar is erected at the heart of the monument — the spiritual axis from which all 1008 stones radiate outward.

â‘£ Erecting the 1008 Stones
Stones rise in five concentric circles — from 108 at the innermost core to 252 at the outermost ring — each carrying a sacred song, a scripture, a prayer.

⑤ The Completed Sanctuary
An open, walk-in monument crowned with a transparent roof — welcoming sunlight, devotees, and divine grace from every direction, every day.

Built with Devotion. Engineered with Precision. Standing for Eternity.
